It's a fantastic, well made head unit. The android OS is fast and stylish. I do think Zlink needs some work. I've noticed that it doesn't connect automatically more often that it does. Otherwise, the app works as expected and perfectly emulates Android Auto/Car Play.
Installation seems a little intimidating at first, but it's actually quite simple. The hardest part is getting everything back in. It's a tight fit, but it's definitely doable. My unit was defective, but things happen, and I don't hold it against them. What makes this a five-star experience is the customer service. I scheduled a call with a tech that was super nice and accommodating, and he helped me determine that I needed a new unit, which he had mailed out as soon as he received a tracking number from the pre-paid shipping label he sent me.
All in all, I'm glad I went with BimmerDirect. I don't think you can expect customer service like that with just any site. I have, and will continue to recommend these guys.
